This week, I was in the midst of writing, and I felt The Lord say STOP and share this! Jennie Allen​ beautifully captures in words what is on my heart.

And there’s more…what she talks about in facing the tension happened to me this week. I received a phone call from a beautiful friend that is struggling. Her voicemail left me shaken and feeling very unequipped to return her call. I literally stopped and prayed and told the Lord that I was scared. I was afraid of what I was going to hear on the other end. He reminded me of Moses and how Moses felt when he was asked to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land. I spent some time in the word! I got the courage to call her back. I listened, I prayed while I listened and then I spoke. I was in the midst of the tension and yet through the tension we embraced each other with love and truth. Love and truth were beautifully woven together by God to bring hope and life to my precious friend. He really blew me away in how He was present with us!

Today, I encourage you to embrace the tension. Ask God to help you with it and then get to work doing it! You will bring LIGHT into the darkness and He will be glorified! May you be blessed by this blog today!
